RUDY!!!!
You can watch some movies-one time and feel touched.. you can watch others- a few times before ur dumb head can register what its all about and then feel touched.. and then there are some others that touch you with their simplicity, the honest portrayal of events and the honest desciprtion of the brutal truth that is life.
Rudy is one such movie. I can see it like a million times, and each time, I am left with an overwhelming feeling of triumph, of joy, and of looking at my life and thanking god for what i have.
What a story... i just love it! If you have seen it... then you know what i am talking about.. For the rest, here goes....
A small town boy.. follows a college football team all his life and dreams of going and playing for the team.. his poor grades and unsupporting family.. all lead him to nearly give up his dream.. how he fights back against all odds.. and how he gets one chance to prove his worth..in the final game of his college career...its simply superb!!!
If you haven't seen the movie..please see it! no more words!go watch it!!!

:) Your passion for football is what grips you about the movie da..... Like for me... its 'Flashdance' and 'Billy Elliot' .... sigh!!!!!!!!! :) Just the thought of the last scene of Billy Elliot gives me goosebumps ... sighh... swan lake.... and this magnificient dancer emerging on stage....... sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..........
And about the crying bit..... too many movies, ads, songs, bla bla bla bla... make me do that. so... i know what you mean :)
I've sworn not to watch that new Disney movie... the one with all those dogs...... Will land up crying forever I know it (even though they reach home in the end..... those adorable babies.. lost... in such a place.. with no food... they could've died..... :((((((((((.... .... God.. I could start crying now .. )

@ GB - not to be insensitive, but hahahah... btw, rudy is not abt the football that anurag's passionate about. ots abt the game called football onnly by the americans... and i'd be surprised if AH's passionate abt amru football
@ anurag, was expecting a complete different post... :P but yeah, beautiful movie this is... its been quite some time since i saw it last - shud get the dvd sometime... oh yeah, before i forget - abt u crying and all, got some choice comments for that, but i guess i better wait till we talk... too public a forum here! :D
hey sai, am so curious about other times when anurag has shed copious tears...it was quite something watching him yday =)

akka, well... i'd love to share some of those moments but i think he'll kill me for making em public. and who knows, some of the gossip coming my way might stop! :D but wl my choice comments r not really abt other instances of his crying... and i am sure he'll tell u abt those incidents than have me serve u a garnished version! :P
@Gunjan- two things.. u cry for ads??? :) too much.. and "o n o" on a comment?? too much chatting going on eh?? :) and oops.. magnificient dancer?? hehe.. good description.. what came to my mind?? a guy with huge wings like an eagle..i dont know why..haha..

AH - I don't CRY for ads.... but I get senti for a few.. like the old cadbury ads, patriotic ads ("Videocon..the indian multinational"..thats such a nice catch line, the new Reliance ad with AB...its not really patriotic but.. such a sweet feel to it), hubby-wife (ICICI life insurance, DTC 'diamonds are forever'), mother-baby (J&J) sort of ones..... Ok... now stop laughing :|
And Sai..... I'm very much around. So we can have a discussion about AH whenever you want :)
