wake up at 3:30 am.. rush to brush tic tic toc toc.. wash face for eternity keep splashing warm and cold water on the eyes to shake off all the sleep and remove those bags under the eyes.. tic tic tic.. its 3:37 am.. focus... see the room around..take a few deep breaths.. tic tic all the while.. 3:40 am..eyes finally focus on the essentials. .. look around more.. tic tic toc... drink the glass of milk... tic tic toc toc. just wince over the cream at the bottom... 3:42 am.. tic tic toc toc.. peruse what must be browsed through...at a break neck speed.. 3:55 am... click on the tv... watch a couple of songs on MTV or one over if there is cricket being played in NZ/WI.. tic tic toc toc... 4:08 am.. put on clothes.. tic tic toc... slip on the floaters.. look around hazily for the vehicle keys.. is there a tad too much deo to make up for the "no bath" routine. i hope not.. tic tic toc.. 4:12 am.. run down the 5 flights of stairs.. one-half of the daily quota of exercise.. well not technically.. one might argue that more energy is spent on the way up!!! tic tic toc toc.. 4:14 am.. kickstart the vehicle.. 4:15 am.. brr its cold... but no place for the pullover... honk loudly..watchman opens gate... say prayers quietly.. hope that no rabid dog chases me down... they came close yday... too close.. .tic toc... 4:17 am.. vrooom out at max acc...and stay that way till the main arterial is reached... keep the speed anyway...the roads desolate.. not even the cock has crowed... no newspaper boys.. no milkmen...nobody..but a bunch of drunks...tic tic toc toc... 4:24 am.. cut off the engine... move in stealthily... and walk quietly along the shawdows and up the stairs.. take place in the appointed seat... 4:27 am... !!!...most of you know what happens for the next 6 hours... wham wham...jot jot jot;didnt know that;wow.thats cool;yawn..whats he talking... can we go soon please......
come home exhausted...tic tic toc..half past 10... drained... wolf down breakfast.. thanks ma!! spend 30 secs in front of the mirror to decide what to do- shave or shower today?? tic tic tic.. always ticking.. watch tv for a short bit..
and back to the grind... keep at it... tic tic toc toc... what time is it?? 2 pm nana.. already ma?? damn damn... this clock ticks so fast!!! mamma..wake me up at 3... tic tic toc toc.. already?? felt like 2 seconds!! damn... ma 2 more mins...tic..leyya ra (utho for non-telugu readers) please... those 2 mins were pure bliss.. tic tic toc toc.. back to the grind... either at home..or in the building!!! 7 pm... time for the daily break... off to the temple...tic tic toc toc ... pray hard.. sit in the calmness for a while...tic tic toc toc always..temples hurt... god take me thru this...back home ... nice dinner.thanks ma..all the while the damn clock ticks.. back to the grind.. keep at it.. push urself to the very edge of insanity.. tic tic toc toc.. 11 pm. time to sleep beta..not yet ma. some more time..tic tic toc toc.. 11:30 am.. now its time... i have to wake u up..and its difficult as it is please sleep now..!! ok ma...did i forget something..i hope not..tic tic toc.. i wish there were 30 hours in a day..tic tic toc...

KNOW THE ROUTINE??? i went through it.... and all i cared abt at the end of it all..was to get into a college of my choice!!! i agree there are people who did not have the facilities or the support that i had.... and that there must be methods to bring them upto a standard when they can be part of the so-called creamy layer of society...
but is reservations the right way to go about it??? i dont think so!!! reservations only foster ill-will... and cause more mental trauma to the already pressurised kids.. cant u hear this? " beta.. is baar seaten kam ho gayee hain... aapko aur kaam karna hoga..."!!! more pressure for the kid... he festers ill-will from an early age..much like the redneckism in the US!!!
Is something wrong with our educational system?? maybe... time to rethink importance attached to exams?? maybe....
my major crib is this..... the reservation will not, in my opinion, help those who must really be helped.... it just allows some crass person to take advantage of his caste and make merry..thats what is unfair!!!
what is the right way to go about things??? am not sure.... there is a saying... "do not stir a hornet's nest.. if you do not have enough reason!!" is there reason enough?? i dont know... and there is another story of an old woman telling an emperor in exile that the reason he failed was cos he attacked the main citadel always..she suggested he start slowly and gain strength.. food for thought..mebbe things need to be done on a more grass root level..!!!

make basic education a compulsion... push for it!!! this is a fucking must!!!... then think abt everything else!!!! make sure every child has 2 square meals first...then think abt everything else.. make sure ..we have our classification of the oppressed categories right..then think abt evrything else!!!!!
