just moved to a new aptmt. first time after coming here..feel like i am living a decent life.. otherwise some shitty place called home...god it was awful. looking back at the year though it wasent too bad at all...got my first car...laptop...a whopping $20000 hospi bill..some good frds and a decent education. what more could a guy wish for. other than home cooked food. thats one thing i havent improved much...
i cooked decent sambar..at my place..the tastiness of a dish is decided by how much of the rice is left after the meal. i won clean plate award yday. so mebbe i am getting better after all.
above all these mundane things...what distresses me more is my inability to concentrate for long periods of time on my research..i seem to want to take a break every so often..in fact i took a loo break even when there was no outward force just to kill time...if someone can help with that.. that will be awesome....
won a baddie tournament the other day..desi students are pretty pathetic out here...so am trying to add to my trophy collection..this is the first individual sporting trophy that i have.. all the rest were as part of a team. most memorable of course was the gold medal in schroeter footy just before i graduated from IIT :)..so was sangam footer final..both were special.
saw india play today..boring ..crickets gone back a couple of levels after the end of the ashes.. speaking of sports..sol campbell made a welcome return to the arsenal fold. god..did they miss him or what. go arsenal..lets kick some ass.....

Melodrama

The first major blog is dedicated to the animals named meghamsh and saikrishna..met them over a weekend..and was it interesting or wot..the settings were very different from where i have met them often...orlando..as compated to the sodden trodden marsh fields of Taramani. but, the magic was still there. the whimsical behavior of megs ,saikris ever on the lookout to r*** megs for any reason,..and my vela behvior to just listen to the garbage and laugh at every possible instance: were all there.
To the uninitiated.we are a part of a group of 6...the other 3 are in good ol' india...kee..anil..and balaji.. all of us had one aim in life at IIT..(pseud puts...IIT feeling)waste time doing the most jobless of stuff. some of us chose career paths better than the rest :D...but not that there is much to separate us from each other.
back to the main track....it was one long drive after another..tampa bay to orlando to pick up megs..from there to miami to meet other acquaintances..back to orlando..a usual visit to theme parks there and back to the bay.....
i felt for the first time that home is where the heart is..and part of the heart is with good frds.. felt like i was rewinding teh clock...to compensate for the other three..we had a new frd..my roomie here...he will fit in effortlessly into the grp..with like minded thghts and mannerisms.
ok..long story short...it was afun meeting..and lots of shit happened. had to write a scrap so came up with this one :) will do a better job next time.
